About the role
- Business Systems Analyst translating stakeholder needs into software requirements for Boeing Canada’s defense and government services portfolio. Supporting analytics, testing, releases, documentation, and training.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze processes, applications, systems, and data to identify functional requirements and business relationships
- Build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to document pain points and identify capability gaps
- Facilitate workshops with program and customer stakeholders and SMEs to gather user requirements and identify potential solutions
- Perform exploratory data analysis with end-user groups and data scientists
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Portfolio Leads, and technical teams to address and track issues and requests
- Translate business requirements into system specifications, including data models, integration points, APIs, and data processing needs
- Define acceptance criteria and support User Acceptance Testing
- Create and maintain software, capability, and product catalogues for the military portfolio
- Support production releases and post-deployment activities, including issue triage and user feedback collection
- Maintain system documentation, training materials, and user manuals
- Provide user training and demonstrations
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or Business Analyst using customer-facing software products within a medium-to-large enterprise
- Experience using Confluence, Jira, Visio, or draw.io to document requirements, process flows, and data models
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex business problems
- Eligible for authorization under the Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment
- Must be able to obtain Canadian Secret Level II Security Clearance
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Must not pose a risk for safeguarding controlled goods
- Eligible to handle US export-controlled data
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field, or equivalent experience, with 3+ years in a similar role
- Familiarity with data analysis concepts and structured datasets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
- Must be eligible to work in Canada; employer will not sponsor employment visas
