About the role
- Software Development Intern working with Data and Analytics team at Boeing. Engaging in software development, teamwork, and learning industry practices in a hybrid role.
Responsibilities
- Software Development: This includes designing, coding, debugging, and testing software applications.
- Collaborating with the project stakeholders and Scrum or Kanban teams: Working closely with teams to understand requirements, contribute to discussions, present and demo any assigned work and provide input on technical solutions.
- Learning and applying programming languages and technologies: This may involve learning new programming languages, understanding existing codebases, and adapting to different development environments.
- Keeping up with industry trends and best practices: This may involve self-learning, attend training sessions, or participate in knowledge-sharing activities within the team.
- Adhering to project timelines and deliverables: Management of assigned tasks and delivery of work within the agreed-upon timelines, including, communicating any challenges or roadblocks to your supervisor and seeking guidance when needed.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student with an accredited university or college with studies in Computer Science or similar technical discipline.
- Must be at least a 2nd year or higher student with studies in a relevant program.
- Willing and able to work 40 hours per week during the internship.
- Provide consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment and willing and eligible to work on government and defense-related programs.
- Must be legally able to work in Canada.
- Individuals must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.
- Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.
