About the role

  • SRE Analyst with scripting reporting to the Director, Technical Services at Broadridge. Working in a hybrid model to assist in technology services management.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Director, Technical Services and work with the general direction of the Technology Services Management team.
  • Work under direction, as part of a team, or independently, as required in execution of any given task.
  • Identify the scope of tasks and problems as they arise and assigning relevant priority to resolving issues.
  • Create a process flow for each process on confluence including diagrams with Viso or an alternative drawing tool.
  • Maintain automation related databases, operational related cronjobs at all clients and internal servers for all above processes.
  • Take advantage of AI, ChatGPT and BroadGPT to efficiently complete tasks quickly and in a timely manner, enhancing scripts and processes.
  • Automation of all intra-day trade files load and transfers, including monitoring and alerting Broadridge’s Enterprise Monitoring Systems and e-mail alerts.
  • Cooperate with Client Support, developers and other departments to automate any other requested processes or tests with third parties.
  • Create and maintain sftp accounts, sftp environment, scripting with sftp, both system and application scripts.
  • Setting up new 3rd party Vendor connections, working with 3rd party vendors such as Fundserv, CDS, etc.
  • Investigate escalated by Operations related incidents 24x7.
  • Assist with the classification of Level 3 Problems.

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science or related field, or diploma with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in structured scripting languages
  • Exceptional Scripting skills (E.g. Bourne and Bash Shell Script, Perl, MySQL Queries and progress wrappers)
  • Experience with electronic trading systems.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving qualities.
  • Ability to work with customers and 3rd party vendors for implementations and resolving issues.
  • Ability to discuss and at times meet with clients to discuss challenges and opportunities.
  • Personal sense of accountability to get the job completed
  • Previous success in technical engineering
  • Coding experience beyond simple scripts, advanced script
  • Being extremely resourceful and learning about the environment as needed.
  • Working well with other team members and collaborating with the various SRE Teams and other departments.
