About the role
- AWS and DevOps Engineer establishing secure, automated environments for a bilingual nonprofit digital platform. Managing deployment, monitoring, recovery, and operational handover.
Responsibilities
- Establish and operate AWS development, test and production environments
- Automate deployments
- Support secure access, monitoring, recovery and launch
- Transfer operational knowledge to the client
- Collaborate with the client's internal product, business project management, UX/design and English/French content teams
- Provide clear documentation and support technical delivery and handover
Requirements
- AWS hosting, networking, storage, identity/access management and environment separation
- Infrastructure as code, source control, CI/CD and automated security checks
- Monitoring, alerting, logging, backups, restore testing and deployment rollback
- Performance optimization, cloud-cost management, secrets handling and operational run books
- 5 to 10 years of experience
- Must be available within a month
- Must be located in Canada; contractor located in Canada or the USA is preferred
- Must be available during standard EST business hours
- Fluent spoken and written English required
- Spoken and written French is a huge asset
