About the role
- Senior Network Platform Engineer building AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure for Capgemini Engineering. Automating cloud networking, observability, and reliable platform operations.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage AWS networking, including VPCs, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, and DNS Firewalls
- Configure, operate, and scale Kubernetes clusters
- Implement and optimize Cilium, CNIs, Egress Gateway, and Network Policies
- Build reusable Terraform modules and automate infrastructure deployment
- Performance test and tune Kubernetes-native networking components
- Develop Kubernetes controllers/operators using Go
- Build monitoring and alerting solutions using Grafana and Prometheus
- Collaborate with platform, SRE, security, and engineering teams
Requirements
- Strong Kubernetes administration and networking experience
- Deep knowledge of AWS networking services
- Hands-on Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code expertise
- Experience with Cilium and Kubernetes Network Policies
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills mandatory
- Golang development experience is a plus
- Experience with the Grafana and Prometheus observability stack is a plus
- Amazon EKS is nice to have
- Advanced eBPF/Cilium advanced networking is nice to have
- ArgoCD or Flux (GitOps) is nice to have
- CKA/CKS certifications are nice to have
- AWS Networking or Solutions Architect certifications are nice to have
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude is nice to have
