About the role
- Caterpillar aftermarket mining representative managing dealer relationships, sales strategy, and product rollouts. Supporting Finning Canada across Alberta's Oil Sands region.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage dealer relationships to market Caterpillar aftermarket products and services
- Assist in developing dealer sales capability
- Support Finning Canada and cover the Oil Sands region for Caterpillar Mining Aftermarket Products
- Review and approve sales variance programs and commercial actions within business process guidance
- Design and assist dealers with forecasts, aftermarket strategy planning, and sales techniques
- Support the rollout of new products
- Conduct regular sales performance reviews with dealers
- Ensure implementation of corrective actions where needed
- Lead identification of selling opportunities
- Improve customer satisfaction and enhance business relationships
Requirements
- Knowledge of CAT business model and business process guidance for sales variance programs and commercial actions
- Knowledge of customer-focused solution development
- Knowledge of principles and practices for selling aftermarket products, technology, and services
- Strong communication across organizational levels and with dealers and customers
- Relationship management skills with dealers, customers, and peers
- Successful negotiation skills across the organization and with external vendors and clients
- Knowledge of business development tools, techniques, and approaches
- Knowledge of the mining industry, mine operations, trends, major issues, and regulatory considerations
- Prior field-based or dealer-facing experience
- Technical knowledge or understanding of mining machine operation
- Ability to travel up to 50%
