About the role

  • Content Manager overseeing French children’s and youth television series for CBC/Radio-Canada. Guiding producers and creative teams across development and production.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of TV series
  • Oversee assigned series by providing guidance, fostering close collaboration and maintaining regular communication with creators, independent producers, creative teams and internal Radio-Canada departments
  • Represent the Radio-Canada Kids’ Camp; Youth Programming department at official functions and in professional communications
  • Build and maintain working relationships with producers, distributors, creative collaborators, crew members and production teams
  • Collaborate effectively and contribute positively as part of a team
  • Report to the Director, Kids’ Camp; Youth Programming

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
  • Minimum five (5) years’ television industry experience, including the development and oversight of kids’ and youth series
  • Deep understanding of young audiences, including their media consumption habits, interests and preferences
  • Familiarity with the TV production industry in Quebec and other relevant markets
  • Proven ability to maintain editorial vision and creative alignment across all stages of production
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating story elements, scripts and edits in both live-action and animation
  • Solid interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build positive relationships
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under pressure and tight deadlines
  • In-depth understanding of CBC/Radio-Canada’s organizational culture, programming and strategic priorities
  • Excellent written French
  • Fluency in English with strong written and spoken communication skills (bilingualism)
