About the role

  • Lead Developer for CBC/Radio-Canada managing backend platform implementation. Focus on data collection and scalable architecture to enhance digital media initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll be the lead developer responsible for implementing a backend platform for data collection, processing, routing, and storage.
  • The platform will be fully hosted on Azure and must support a high load of messages.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure smooth development execution.
  • Coordinate technical work for delivering requested features while adhering to standards.
  • Guide developers in finding the right technical implementation.
  • Contribute to writing and refining stories that express requirements and edge cases.
  • Ensure developers aren’t blocked and maintain optimal task sequencing.
  • Conduct code reviews according to best practices.
  • Mentor technical staff to increase their skills.

Requirements

  • Five to eight years of experience in a similar role.
  • In depth knowledge of application development using C# but also .NET Core.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team and be diplomatic.
  • Ability to explain complex technical questions simply.
  • Having mastered the concepts behind building resilient and scalable APIs.
  • Flexibility, initiative, dynamism.
  • Thoroughness, autonomy, resourcefulness.
  • Excellent ability to manage stress and priorities.
  • Analytical mind.
  • French is mandatory, English is an asset.
