About the role
- Principal AI Researcher developing generative AI and LLM systems for Cerence’s automotive voice companions. Optimizing dialog, search, and destination-entry experiences for global automakers.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement architectures using state-of-the-art generative AI models for dialog, destination entry, search, and other domains
- Optimize the use of LLMs through prompting or fine-tuning for accuracy, naturalness, and performance
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to develop customized LLM solutions
- Research, innovate, and enhance existing models by integrating LLMs
- Ensure optimal model performance and speed on resource-constrained platforms
- Stay current with advancements, trends, research, techniques, technologies, and best practices in generative AI, dialog, and language modeling
Requirements
- Extensive experience and demonstrated mastery in developing Large Language Models
- Experience relating Large Language Models to Dialog implementations, Virtual Assistants, Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Visual processing, or Text-to-Speech applications
- Advanced degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred
- Exceptional programming skills in Python
- Strong ability to implement complex machine learning algorithms
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Collaborative mindset
- Basic knowledge of information security and data privacy requirements
- Demonstrative knowledge of information security through internal training programs
