About the role
- Machine Learning Researcher building NLP systems for narrative analysis at CD PROJEKT RED. Advancing computational narratology for revolutionary, story-driven RPG development.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build ML systems for complex narrative analysis
- Quantitatively improve key NLP models, designing and/or integrating new models
- Effectively leverage cloud infrastructure for training and serving
- Keep a finger on the pulse of SOTA for key topics
- Present results internally and possibly at external conferences
- Optimize ML systems for cost, latency, and quality
- Facilitate the deployment of results in demos
Requirements
- Sophisticated experimental NLP background in academic or industrial research
- 5+ experience programming
- Fluent in Python and C++ (or Unreal C++)
- Intellectually curious, ambitious, open-minded, and proactive
- Capable of taking high-level goals, making a plan, driving it forward, and being accountable for the results
- Game development experience, especially in Unreal Engine (nice to have)
- Relevant publications in narratology (nice to have)
- Personal projects in ML (nice to have)
