About the role
- Manufacturing Accountant supporting Chemtrade’s manufacturing operations across U.S. plants. Managing costing, inventory accounting, reporting, budgeting, and operational performance analysis remotely.
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly close activities related to manufacturing operations
- Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, and production variances
- Maintain standard costing and support annual cost updates
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and performance analyses
- Reconcile inventory and support physical inventory counts
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and ERP system enhancements
- Drive financial performance, operational excellence, and informed business decision-making
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA designation (or working toward CPA) preferred
- 5+ years of accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis
- Experience with ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA preferred
