About the role
- Bilingual Mortgage Solutions Advisor handling inbound and outbound mortgage sales for CIBC, a relationship-oriented bank. Managing leads, client documentation, approvals, funding, and sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound mortgage sales inquiries
- Fulfill mortgage leads for purchases, refinances, ports, and early renewal negotiations
- Build strong relationships with business partners and clients
- Ensure sales targets are achieved while maintaining client satisfaction
- Answer client questions and resolve issues according to department objectives
- Follow up to obtain and confirm signed client documentation
- Follow up on leads from the call centre, general servicing team, information statements, discharge statements, and mortgage verifications
- Stay current on mortgage products, policies, procedures, competition, conditions, and documents
- Work with underwriters and advancing partners to ensure mortgages are approved and funded
- Achieve sales targets across all parameters of the business plan
Requirements
- Experience in the residential mortgage business
- Understanding of market conditions, trends, mortgage product knowledge, and pricing issues
- Fluency in French and English
- Ability to work independently in a private and quiet workspace with a closing door
- Wired internet connection with minimum download speed of 15 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps
- Satellite internet providers prohibited
- Flexibility to work full-time shifts Monday to Friday between 8am and 9pm EST and Saturday 9am-5pm EST
- Ability to attend the primary work location within two hours’ notice for business-related purposes
- Legal eligibility to work at the specified location and, where applicable, a valid work or study permit
- Mortgage underwriting experience is an asset
- Digital technology proficiency and adaptability to new tools and trends
