About the role

  • Reconciliation Analyst reconciling high-volume client cash and employee share-plan accounts for Computershare, a global financial administration company. Investigating variances and producing accurate operational reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Complete timely reconciliations of cash bank accounts operated for corporate clients
  • Reconcile activity related to employee share plan purchases, sales, distributions, and dividend payments
  • Reconcile high volumes of transactions from core systems and bank accounts
  • Analyze, identify, document, and update out-of-balance variances in the reconciliation system
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting for reconciliation, operational teams, the broader business, and senior leadership
  • Match related transactions and research root causes of variances
  • Notify operational units and track unresolved items through resolution
  • Follow procedures and improve the efficiency of established tasks
  • Own and respond to routine operational inquiries, escalating as needed
  • Maintain current desk operating procedures
  • Collaborate with Computershare departments to understand and resolve variances

Requirements

  • Experience with account reconciliations
  • Fast learner with an analytical mindset
  • Persistent, detail-oriented, motivated to grow and continue learning
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other formulas
  • Ability to understand and execute SQL queries is an asset
  • Knowledge of employee share plan activity and/or trading operations
  • Knowledge of the financial industry, such as transfer agency or corporate banking services
  • Ability to perform daily, high-volume account reconciliations using automated reconciliation software, internal recordkeeping systems, and external bank account data
  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use Teams for virtual training, meetings, and stakeholder check-ins
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to consistently meet daily deadlines
  • College or university studies in finance, accounting, or mathematics, or equivalent — preferred
