About the role

  • Legal Partnerships Lead building strategic law-firm partnerships for Crux, a clean-energy finance platform. Driving co-marketing, market intelligence, and capital-access initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deepen strategic relationships with a portfolio of leading AmLaw and Chambers-ranked law firms
  • Serve as primary relationship owner and lead meetings independently
  • Navigate law firm BD, marketing, and innovation teams, including conflicts and confidentiality considerations
  • Cultivate champions across practice groups and offices
  • Design and run joint content, thought leadership, briefings, events, client dinners, and conference activations
  • Collaborate with Crux’s marketing team on co-marketing and engagement programs
  • Deliver legal and market intelligence, CLE-eligible briefings, deal term standards, and tailored reports to partner firms
  • Help firms engage with Crux’s platform and collaborate on industry-standard documentation
  • Advance Crux’s capital markets business and clients’ access to capital
  • Maintain partner records, relationship health, and program insights with RevOps
  • Refine repeatable partnership playbooks
  • Attend partner briefings, conferences, client events, and roadshows, with approximately 25% travel
  • Work cross-functionally with commercial, legal, market intelligence, and marketing teams
  • Report to the Sr. Director of Partnerships

Requirements

  • Genuine legal fluency and ability to engage credibly with AmLaw partners or in-house counsel
  • Experience understanding how transactional attorneys structure deals and advise clients
  • Knowledge of law firm BD, marketing, and innovation functions
  • Understanding of conflicts and confidentiality considerations
  • Experience building impactful relationships with enterprise or top-tier partners
  • Demonstrated commercial impact through partnerships
  • Approximately 6–8 years of experience
  • Track record of independently owning meaningful workstreams or relationships
  • Experience building playbooks or refining early versions
  • Comfort working with limited support in a high-growth environment
  • Excitement to use AI tools
  • Successful cross-functional collaboration with limited direct authority
  • Curiosity and ability to quickly learn clean energy finance, transferable tax credits, tax equity, and debt
  • Background may include law firm BD, marketing, or innovation; legal-industry partnerships or alliances; project finance or tax law; or professional services BD
