About the role

  • Business Development Executive acquiring high-value trade and hospitality accounts for One Kings Lane. Building AI-enabled pipelines and recurring B2B revenue across the United States or Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Own net-new account acquisition end to end for trade and hospitality customers
  • Identify, prospect, and close new B2B accounts including interior designers, design firms, hotels, and hospitality groups
  • Build and manage a pipeline of larger accounts to drive repeat purchasing and long-term retention
  • Conduct inbound and outbound calls directly with prospective accounts
  • Use AI tools for prospecting, list-building, messaging, and follow-up
  • Implement and oversee AI-driven workflows to improve productivity and deal velocity
  • Write prompts, validate AI outputs, and iterate based on results
  • Own funnel metrics and pipeline health
  • Improve CRM discipline, reporting consistency, and forecasting accuracy
  • Build processes for lead routing, opportunity tracking, and follow-up
  • Identify ways to shorten sales cycles and increase conversion
  • Coordinate handoffs with the inbound/existing-accounts owner
  • Partner with merchandising, operations, and vendor teams on inventory planning and special orders
  • Build a trade and hospitality pipeline from the ground up and close larger accounts driving recurring, project-based revenue

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of B2B sales or business development experience, ideally with exposure to trade, design, hospitality, or a related relationship-driven, high-touch sales environment
  • Proven track record of sourcing and closing net-new accounts
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, with discipline to self-manage a pipeline without day-to-day oversight
  • Familiarity or comfort using AI tools for prospecting and outreach workflows
  • Strong phone and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable being the primary point of contact and fielding calls directly with prospects
  • Employment contingent on a background check, including verification of prior employment dates
