About the role
- Intermediate Electrical Engineer designing and assessing building electrical systems for Canada’s insurance risk-management services provider. Preparing layouts, reviewing codes, inspecting installations, and supporting clients and contractors.
Responsibilities
- Complete electrical code reviews and load calculations
- Prepare electrical design layouts and schematics
- Inspect field installations
- Participate in meetings with clients and contractors
- Support the Woodbridge, Ontario team with building and commercial electrical system design or assessment
- Travel to job sites within Ontario
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Professional Registration (EIT or P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer designing or maintaining electrical systems for buildings and commercial installations
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and AutoCAD
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and construction contractors
- Familiarity with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards
- Ability to travel to job sites within Ontario
