Part - time remote Technical Support Analyst helping ClaimsPro users migrate domains and maintaining Windows hardware, software, networks, and Exchange systems.
About the role
- Technical Support Analyst supporting domain migration and maintaining Windows hardware, software, networks, and Exchange systems. Contract role with ClaimsPro’s Canadian claims-services team.
Responsibilities
- Help end users migrate to a new domain
- Maintain company computer software and hardware
- Process support requests and maintain accountability for incidents until resolved
- Install, configure, and maintain computer workstations and servers in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Install, configure, and maintain peripherals and network hardware
- Document configurations and operating standards and practices
- Implement and monitor security policies
- Perform data backup and recovery
- Perform hardware and software upgrades
- Configure and troubleshoot corporate Exchange email
- Participate in small- to medium-complexity infrastructure/software projects
- Communicate project progress to IT stakeholders
- Identify project risks, escalate issues to management, and assist with mitigation
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Minimum grade 12 education
- Post-secondary IT diploma/degree preferred
- 0-2 years of related industry experience
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows 11
- Active Directory user and group administration
- Experience troubleshooting computer hardware
- Experience with email administration (Exchange, O365) an asset
- Experience with VPN software an asset
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational, prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and collaborative skills
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
