About the role

  • Desjardins business account manager developing strategic client relationships and negotiated service agreements. Managing complex portfolios while balancing client satisfaction, profitability, risk, and business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain lasting, personal business relationships with important clients to promote services
  • Manage accounts as the link between clients and the organization
  • Ensure clients have the products and services they need, use them correctly, and are satisfied
  • Recommend strategies and solutions to meet targets, including risk management, portfolio profitability, and improved business relationships
  • Identify and analyze member/client needs
  • Develop custom solutions and prepare integrated service offers balancing satisfaction, profitability, and risk
  • Negotiate product and service terms
  • Identify business opportunities that add a competitive edge to existing products and services
  • Participate in public relations activities
  • Maintain a presence in the business community
  • Lead, influence, and serve as expert advisor to clients and practitioners
  • Promote services and maintain business relationships with members and clients
  • Represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins and enter the organization into strategic agreements with clients
  • Help the unit achieve sales and business development objectives
  • Manage prestige accounts with significant development potential and highly complex, diverse needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written
  • Ability to communicate effectively and thoroughly understand clients’ expressed needs
  • Extensive knowledge of the organization and line of business
