About the role

  • Director leading Desjardins’ AI, data and analytics strategy for Personal Services. Driving data transformation, executive decisions, advanced analytics and responsible governance.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the data, analytics and AI strategy for Personal Services
  • Develop and advance the sector’s strategic vision for data, analytics and artificial intelligence
  • Establish strategic directions, priorities and roadmaps to maximize the business value of data
  • Identify and recommend investments required to support the sector’s ambitions
  • Ensure sector initiatives align with organizational priorities
  • Accelerate adoption of data-driven decision-making and lead transformation initiatives
  • Influence the evolution of practices, processes and ways of working to embed data in business decisions
  • Lead the strategic evolution of the data, analytics and AI ecosystem
  • Advance analytics capabilities and oversee high-impact use cases
  • Promote emerging technologies and AI to unlock new sources of value
  • Advise executives on opportunities, challenges, risks and impacts associated with data and AI
  • Mobilize business, technology and analytics partners across a complex, highly matrixed environment
  • Ensure consistency across sector data and analytics initiatives
  • Serve as the sector’s data steward and promote best practices in data management, quality, accessibility and use
  • Ensure responsible, ethical and effective data governance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience in data, analytics, business intelligence, artificial intelligence or digital transformation
  • Experience defining and implementing data strategies that deliver significant business value
  • Experience working with senior executives in complex, multidisciplinary environments
  • Experience in data governance, business intelligence or advanced analytics
  • Significant experience influencing, engaging and managing stakeholders at the strategic and executive levels
  • Proven experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives that affect practices, processes or operating models
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Advanced strategic communication skills and ability to clearly explain complex concepts and issues related to data, analytics and AI
