About the role
- Equity Research Associate supporting Desjardins Capital Markets' analyst with financial models, databases, and research reports. Liaising with sales, trading, and firm teams in Montréal.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of comprehensive company/industry-specific financial and operational models
- Maintain and develop sector-specific databases
- Compile and evaluate industry information and research
- Assist in generating company and industry research reports and comments
- Provide analytical, quantitative, and administrative support to the analyst as required
- Assist with ad-hoc projects, presentations, and assignments as needed
- Liaise with sales, trading, and other areas of the firm
Requirements
- Honour's Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience in analyzing financial statements and creating financial models in Excel
- Knowledge of French is required
- Advanced computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Bloomberg, in addition to sourcing data from the internet
- Knowledge of VBA or programming
