About the role
- Legal compliance analyst designing regulatory frameworks for Desjardins, North America's largest cooperative financial group. Analyzing risks, advising stakeholders, and developing compliance recommendations and action plans.
Responsibilities
- Design, institute and coordinate the legal and regulatory compliance framework
- Enforce related rules and help ensure officer and employee behaviours comply with organizational standards
- Analyze and diagnose issues, provide discipline-specific advice, and develop recommendations and implementation plans
- Develop tools, methods and processes
- Identify, input, analyze and interpret data to inform management decision-making and monitor management policies and practices
- Conduct research, studies and analysis to update recommendations and monitor business line activities
- Analyze risks and write reports
- Prepare recommendations and provide advice on implementation
- Help prepare and propose action plans to address issues in accordance with rules and parameters
- Support unit activities and initiatives that balance business needs, requirements and best practices
- Help practitioners interpret and implement compliance programs, policies, standards and procedures
- Interact with stakeholders in other fields and provide discipline-specific support to the unit, clients and partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
- Ability to identify, analyze and interpret data
- Ability to conduct research, studies and analysis
- Ability to analyze risks and write reports
- Knowledge of compliance programs, policies, standards and procedures
- Extensive knowledge of the line of work and business line
- Analytical skills and ability to manage complexity
