About the role

Procurement advisor finalizing supplier contracts and advising clients for Desjardins, a financial cooperative. Analyzing needs, monitoring providers, and improving procurement processes.

Responsibilities

Finalize contractual agreements with organizational partners for the purchase and rental of goods and services
Advise and assist clients and partners
Develop tools, methods and processes
Handle one or more sub-specialties including strategic sourcing and procurement, asset management, contract and partnership management, inventory and restocking, outsourced service management, and governance
Analyze and identify client needs and help diagnose issues to determine target outcomes
Analyze information, conduct studies, carry out monitoring, write reports and make recommendations
Coordinate efforts to achieve objectives and execute action plans
Carry out operational follow-up and monitoring, including monitoring external provider performance
Help develop, enforce, update and improve policies, processes, standards and models supporting unit projects and initiatives
Maintain business relationships with providers and interact with stakeholders in other fields

Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of two years of relevant experience
Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Knowledge of French is required
Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
