About the role
- Security interns supporting Desjardins Group’s financial services cybersecurity, governance, investigations and communications. Developing controls, analyses, dashboards, legal research and security awareness initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support operational security and integrate security controls into IT projects through risk analysis, vulnerability assessment and threat monitoring
- Support implementation of security practices complying with organizational and regulatory requirements
- Monitor discrepancies from physical security audits and assess physical security measures and continuity plans
- Draft strategic, practical governance documents and internal security documentation
- Develop visual reports, recommendations, monitoring tools and dashboards; structure information and analyze performance indicators
- Advise business sectors on personal information protection, research cybersecurity laws and regulations, analyze security clauses in contracts and assess legal compliance
- Develop opinions and implementation plans, conduct preliminary research and analysis, and help clients and partners manage complexity
- Diagnose investigation issues, analyze information, conduct studies, write reports, develop action plans and support investigators on complex files
- Develop communications action plans, raise awareness of DGSO security standards, provide training and support DGSO officers
- Collaborate with technical teams and contribute to projects across Desjardins Group
Requirements
- Your educational institution must credit or certify your internship toward a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in an appropriate discipline
- Relevant work/internship experience
- Knowledge of French required
