About the role
- Senior property advisor leading building safety, leases, and development projects for Desjardins. Advising stakeholders and managing complex strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients and partners to position, plan, develop, execute and monitor strategic projects and initiatives
- Identify, analyze and diagnose major issues and make recommendations to decision-making bodies
- Negotiate, prepare and draft complex, high-value leases while minimizing transaction costs
- Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs to support strategic projects and initiatives
- Develop budgets and schedules for major projects and monitor them closely
- Represent the unit before decision-making bodies and external partners
- Assist with fire prevention and building safety and management
- Help create plans, assist with build-outs and lease management, and help develop building safety and fire prevention policies
- Lead complex and innovative development projects and strategic initiatives
- Serve as specialist advisor, subject matter expert, resource person and coach for decision-making bodies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
- Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
