About the role
- Desjardins data governance senior advisor developing secure, compliant data management standards. Advising stakeholders and leading governance initiatives for members and clients.
Responsibilities
- Help data producers and users understand how to valorize data for the benefit of members and clients, in keeping with sound data governance
- Serve as a specialist advisor to teams in developing and applying data management processes and controls
- Develop, operationalize and improve standards, processes, tools and best practices related to data governance foundations
- Coordinate identification of the sector's data governance needs and opportunities
- Help the sector analyze risks and potential gaps between governance documents and operational practices
- Oversee development and implementation of practices and mechanisms to ensure compliance with data governance documents
- Coordinate, monitor, measure and communicate performance of standards and practices, including changes in data governance maturity
- Lead projects related to the development of data governance
- Interact with stakeholders across a wide range of fields to understand issues and influence decision making
- Serve as a subject matter expert, resource person and coach for decision-making bodies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
