About the role

  • Senior advisor standardizing English digital content, UX writing and accessibility at Desjardins. Developing design-system standards across banking, insurance and wealth-management experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop the Desjardins design system by establishing and maintaining English content standards, guidelines and principles across digital platforms
  • Write and maintain component documentation, including usage guidelines, examples, writing principles and content design best practices
  • Create and update content guides, standards, content libraries and other English reference materials
  • Develop content strategy for English digital experiences based on user needs, business objectives, data and operational constraints
  • Help design teams apply content standards and resolve complex user experience, content design and consistency issues
  • Analyze content and user journeys to identify inconsistencies, assess impact and recommend improvements at scale
  • Drive adoption of content standards through workshops, team support and stakeholder influence
  • Stay current on trends and innovations in content design, user experience, accessibility and artificial intelligence
  • Contribute to the standardization team backlog and assess complexity and effort for project and task planning
  • Serve as a strategic advisor across business sectors and may mentor specialists, advisors and senior advisors in English digital content

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Extensive experience in UX writing, localization, content design, plain language writing or digital content strategy
  • Experience in developing and shaping content guidelines, content libraries, components and reusable templates
  • Strong command of written and spoken French
  • Advanced proficiency in English due to the nature of the duties and work tools and because the position involves interacting with English-speaking partners, members and clients
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Knowledge of user-centric design principles, digital accessibility and design systems
  • Knowledge of the memoQ translation tool
  • Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Figma or equivalent digital design tools
