About the role
- Senior security advisor strengthening Desjardins's cooperative financial security posture. Leading strategic security initiatives, governance, policies and complex organization-wide projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize security measures aligned with corporate objectives
- Plan, implement and oversee best practices to strengthen Desjardins's security posture
- Help develop the Desjardins Group Security Office's priorities and governance
- Lead practitioners on development projects and innovative, complex, cross-sector strategic initiatives related to security
- Develop and recommend strategic directions and business positions
- Lead large-scale development projects, initiatives and activities in the area of expertise
- Identify, develop and recommend security strategic directions balancing business needs, requirements and best practices
- Advise clients and partners on positioning, planning, development, execution and monitoring of strategic projects and initiatives
- Identify, analyze, report and diagnose major issues and recommend solutions to decision-making bodies
- Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs
- Offer security programs to internal employees to promote the organization's culture of ethics and compliance
- Represent the unit before senior management committees and decision-making bodies
- Represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements with external partners and organizations
- Serve as an expert advisor, subject matter expert, resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- CISSP, GIAC SANS, or equivalent certification is an asset
- Knowledge of French is required
- Advanced proficiency in English, both oral and written
- Ability to interact with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
