About the role

  • Advisory agent serving members and clients at Desjardins, North America’s largest cooperative financial group. Supporting banking transactions, digital tools, personalized solutions, and fraud referrals.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome members and clients, listen to and address their needs, and support their financial empowerment
  • Support and advise members and clients about banking transactions
  • Promote Desjardins products and services and available distribution channels
  • Offer personalized solutions based on members’ and clients’ needs
  • Identify business opportunities and refer members and clients to colleagues for specialized needs
  • Advise members and clients on digital solutions and their use
  • Ensure financial transactions go smoothly and address issues that arise
  • Provide information and support on technological tools, including prevention and safety advice
  • Explain technological tools and applications that enable members and clients to complete transactions independently
  • Contribute to business development and maintain business relationships through service delivery and activities
  • Assist members and clients affected by fraud or irregularities and refer them to appropriate partners
  • Stay current with standards, products and services
  • Adhere to compliance, security and risk management rules

Requirements

  • High school diploma in a related field
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Knowledge of convenience services products and services
  • Knowledge of Desjardins products and services for caisse members
  • Knowledge of products and services offered by Desjardins Business centres, components, distribution networks and channels, and competitors
  • Ability to enter data in systems
  • Knowledge of security measures, legal frameworks and internal controls
  • Understanding of the philosophy and fundamentals of financial services cooperatives
  • Knowledge of operating procedures related to convenience products and services and automated and assisted transactions
