About the role

  • Content Strategist driving SEO and content strategies for Directive Consulting’s B2B marketing clients. Managing client deliverables, campaigns, reporting, and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage custom client content and SEO strategies
  • Own day-to-day client deliverables for Enterprise clients
  • Develop holistic marketing strategies based on service-line knowledge, business goals, campaigns, and historical performance
  • Implement SEO and content best practices, including LTV:CAC modeling, customer generation, share of SERP, and content production
  • Craft creative briefs and content campaigns using competitor and audience insights
  • Set client goals using Google Analytics, CRM data, SEMRush, and Ahrefs; obtain Associate Director approval before presentation
  • Ensure strategy execution through project management and task delegation
  • Use Asana to create, assign, and track tasks and deadlines
  • Partner with Project Managers, content writers, designers, Specialists, clients, and internal leadership
  • Maintain client relationships and communicate timelines, progress, roadblocks, opportunities, and account changes
  • Report client strategy progress through bi-weekly meetings, monthly reports, quarterly reports, and two bi-annual business review presentations
  • Identify opportunities for client upsells, cross-sells, and referrals

Requirements

  • Proven track record implementing SEO principles and content strategy
  • Experience with keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building
  • Ability to analyze website traffic and SEO metrics using tools like Google Analytics
  • Strong client-facing communication skills and ability to own stakeholder relationships
  • Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog/crawling tools
  • Proven organizational, project, and time management skills
  • Genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO, and content
  • Agency experience required
  • B2B tech and/or SaaS experience required
  • Driven to stay ahead of industry trends, including learning how AI and automation can enhance marketing and operations
  • Established and current work authorization in Canada
  • Permanent residence in Canada
  • Reliable internet access
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and interpret written/verbal communication
