About the role
- Senior Product Engineer building scalable Go and PHP automation systems for Docebo’s AI-powered learning platform. Architecting backend services that onboard millions of users.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and scale business-critical backend systems for the enterprise automation platform
- Drive complex, multi-sprint technical initiatives from inception through deployment
- Design and operate resilient backend services handling millions of users
- Write Go code for automation features and maintain and improve PHP services
- Conduct code reviews and lead technical design discussions
- Write architectural design documents and establish SLOs
- Mentor and pair with engineers and guide career growth
- Partner with Product and Design to shape the product roadmap
- Handle Tier-1 customer escalations and technical debt
- Troubleshoot mission-critical issues across the stack
- Drive engineering-wide initiatives such as deployment standardization, testing improvements, and technology adoption
Requirements
- Based in Canada
- 4-8 years of software engineering experience
- Deep expertise in Go and performance-driven batch processing systems
- Solid working knowledge of PHP
- Experience designing, building, and operating scalable microservices, distributed systems, and domain-driven architectures at enterprise scale
- Advanced hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
- Deep understanding of unit, integration, and E2E testing strategies
- Experience with modern observability platforms such as Datadog
- Ability to mentor teammates and communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to make sound decisions under uncertainty
