About the role
- Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student supporting the functional location development across projects at Domtar. Engaging in engineering tasks in a dynamic team environment in British Columbia.
Responsibilities
- Assist in supporting the functional location development for approximately 94 assets across multiple capital projects.
- Collect drawings and purchasing information from vendors.
- Create material requests for new parts.
- Build BOMs in SAP.
- Build maintenance equipment folders.
- Create preventative maintenance WOs.
- Update maintenance procedures (as applicable).
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program at a recognized university.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
