About the role

  • People Analytics Data Analyst helping Dropbox improve hiring through Talent Acquisition metrics and workforce insights. Partnering with People teams and leaders to analyze complex data, improve efficiency, quality, and equity.

Responsibilities

  • Partner on analytics initiatives to understand and improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of hiring across Dropbox.
  • Create clarity from ambiguity by structuring complex data and stakeholder narratives, establishing analytical rigor, and driving actionable conclusions.
  • Monitor and analyze core Talent Acquisition metrics, identifying trends and uncovering the “what” and “why” behind performance changes.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders, lead requirements gathering, and translate business questions into analyses and insights for People and business leaders.
  • Answer complex business questions through independent investigation and data forensics, leveraging the data warehouse.
  • Validate data, standardize definitions and calculations, and contribute to shared data toolkits and enablement materials.
  • Treat employee experience as a product by applying product management and design thinking, prototyping solutions, and driving execution through project management and data-driven iteration.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in an analytical or quantitative field such as Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR-focused, stakeholder-facing Data Analytics role, including at least 1 year focused on Recruiting/Talent Acquisition insights.
  • Fluency in SQL and advanced Excel; experience with statistical or analytical tools such as R or Python.
  • Strong data storytelling skills, including selecting appropriate analytical approaches and visualization techniques for different audiences and decision contexts.
  • Proven ability to analyze large, complex datasets, synthesize insights quickly, and communicate actionable recommendations.
  • Experience driving analytics projects end to end, from problem framing and analysis through execution and impact.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools in the flow of work.
  • Ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, multifaceted, ambiguous environment.
  • Collaborative approach and proactive support for teammates and shared goals.
  • Experience conceptualizing employee experience as a product and applying product management principles, including roadmapping, user journeys, and feature prioritization, to HR initiatives.
  • Proficiency with design thinking methodologies, rapid experience prototyping, and data-driven iteration cycles.
