About the role

  • 3D FX Artist responsible for creating weapons, gadgets, and environment FX for Unreal Engine FPS. Seeking a passionate individual for a studio deeply engaged in game development.

Responsibilities

  • Craft beautiful weapons, gadgets, technological and environment FX for their upcoming Unreal Engine FPS.
  • Create high quality and highly optimized particle systems in Unreal Engine.
  • Problem solve technically and integrate assets inside of Unreal Engine.
  • Work autonomously and be responsible to deliver high quality results.
  • Be an integral team member to deliver a creative AAA indie experience.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience developing 2D and 3D visual effects in UE4
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Cascade
  • Solid understanding of optimisation and level of detail techniques
  • Familiarity with shader and material editing in UE4
  • Willingness to learn technically and solve creative problems
  • A passion for videogames and videogame art
  • An online portfolio or reel demonstrating previous artworks
  • Self sufficient when it comes to problem solving, time management and task management
  • Shipped one or more console or PC videogame title(s) (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Niagara particle systems (preferred)
  • Experience with Realtime lighting (UE4) (preferred)
  • Experience with blueprint (UE4) (preferred)
  • Experience with asset pipeline (UE4) (preferred)
  • A passion for sci-fi, including weapons, gadgets, props and environments (preferred)
