About the role

  • Staff Cybersecurity Analyst securing D-Wave’s quantum computing systems, software, and cloud services. Leading threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and enterprise resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise-wide detection and response capabilities using SIEM, XRD, and Threat Intelligence platforms
  • Develop and enhance threat detection rules through scripting and platform configuration
  • Evaluate and enhance identity and access management platform security posture
  • Evaluate and enhance endpoint security posture in collaboration with end user support
  • Conduct risk evaluations of applications and SaaS providers
  • Evaluate and enhance the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) platform
  • Evaluate and enhance network security posture with technology teams
  • Evaluate and enhance cloud security posture with technology teams
  • Lead or support incident response activations for cyber-related events
  • Conduct employee security awareness training as directed
  • Conduct continuous monitoring, detection, response, and prevention
  • Advance automation and analytics to support secure enterprise operations
  • Collaborate across D-Wave teams to strengthen security posture and promote security awareness
  • Report to the Vice President, Enterprise Security
  • Support 24/7 threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, system security, and enterprise resilience

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or information technology, or equivalent experience required
  • Industry security certifications preferred, but not required
  • 7+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience; global responsibility preferred
  • Deep understanding, development, and hands-on operation of Microsoft 365 capabilities, including the security stack
  • Experience conducting and leading incident response teams during technical responses
  • Experience using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions to monitor and respond to incidents
  • Experience conducting ad-hoc security education during interactions
  • Experience troubleshooting endpoints and identities to identify and correct issues
  • Experience conducting application and SaaS risk evaluations, providing compensating controls and recommendations
  • Defensive security mindset
