About the role
- Senior SAP ePPDS analyst leading production-scheduling design, implementation, and support. Optimizing Agropur’s global dairy manufacturing operations through SAP solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead blueprinting, functional design, system configuration, and deployment of SAP Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) and Embedded PP/DS (ePPDS) solutions for global operations
- Act as primary subject matter expert guiding plant stakeholders, supply chain leaders, and development teams through standard SAP-aligned solutions
- Facilitate workshops to gather complex manufacturing requirements and translate them into scalable functional designs and technical specifications
- Define ePPDS solution architecture and own the roadmap for scheduling transformations
- Manage custom enhancements, software vendors, system integration partners, and medium to large-scale implementation streams
- Drive steering committee communications and organizational change management across plant user communities
- Transition from implementation delivery to ongoing operational support, system stability, and continuous improvement
- Lead advisory and discovery workshops and define to-be process models
- Configure SAP S/4HANA ePPDS settings, including DS Board profiles, Alert Profiles, Setup Matrix optimization, Block Planning, and Product Heuristics
- Design integration touchpoints between ePPDS, PP/PP-PI, MM, and EWM
- Optimize liveCache performance and manage CIF master data replication frameworks
- Define global testing strategies and functional test scripts for SIT, UAT, and regression cycles
- Oversee bug tracking, coordinate technical resolution, and sign off on solution readiness
- Author Functional Specification Documents for custom RICEFW developments, heuristics, BAdIs, and scheduling user exits
- Establish standards, process maps, and deployment playbooks
- Support cost-benefit analyses, project ROI calculations, and business transformation scope sizing
- Provide L2/L3 production support, resolving incidents, problems, and service requests within SLAs
- Monitor planning runs, background jobs, CIF integration models, liveCache, and PP-DS queues
- Own scheduling master-data integrity and governance
- Manage minor enhancements, configuration changes, and continuous improvements through change management
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate managed-services support and regression testing for SAP releases, patches, and upgrades
- Maintain support documentation and knowledge-base articles, coach end users, and report system stability, ticket trends, and SLA adherence
- Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required
- Equivalent combination of education, SAP Academy training, and extensive consulting experience may be considered
- SAP Certified Application Associate in PP/DS or S/4HANA Production Planning is highly preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an SAP Functional Consultant, delivery lead, or solution architect within an enterprise consulting or global template environment required
- Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on configuration experience with SAP S/4HANA ePPDS or classic APO PP/DS modules required
- Completed at least one (1) full lifecycle implementation or template rollout of an SAP ePPDS/PPDS solution from blueprinting through to go-live support
- Demonstrated experience in an application support / “run-the-business” capacity, including incident and change management, SLA-based ticket resolution, batch/job monitoring, and coordination with a managed-services support partner
- In-depth knowledge of standard ERP logistics, specifically SAP Production Planning (PP/PP-PI) and its integration with MM, SD, and PM modules
- Advanced knowledge of finite scheduling algorithms, campaign planning, optimization solvers, and liveCache troubleshooting
- Elite blueprinting, business process mapping, and functional specification writing skills
- Strong advisory capability to evaluate, optimize, and re-engineer manufacturing processes to eliminate shop floor bottlenecks
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills suited for C-suite steering committees down to plant operators
- Ability to consult effectively within complex, matrixed global client environments
- Elite time management and organizational skills to lead project streams under strict milestone-driven deadlines
- Proactive mindset with a consultative drive to propose optimization improvements and architectural refinements
- High adaptability to handle rapidly shifting project scopes and environments
- Ability to act as an explicit agent of organizational change to ensure high user adoption of the new scheduling tool
- Adequate knowledge of French required for positions in Quebec
