About the role

  • Azure Cloud Security Engineer strengthening Azure security, governance, and vulnerability remediation. Supporting ELITS Canada’s digital transformation clients through secure cloud implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, prioritize, and remediate security recommendations from Microsoft Defender for Cloud
  • Improve and maintain Microsoft Secure Score through proactive security measures and continuous follow-up
  • Design, implement, and maintain security controls across Microsoft Azure cloud environments
  • Configure and manage Azure Policy to enforce governance, compliance, and security standards
  • Coordinate patching, vulnerability remediation, and hardening activities for Azure virtual machines and other cloud workloads
  • Review and improve security configurations for Azure Compute, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, and Microsoft Entra ID environments
  • Produce technical documentation, security reports, remediation plans, and stakeholder status updates
  • Work on digitization and transformation projects for market-leading customers through close collaboration

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience
  • Senior-level hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and enterprise-scale cloud environments
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Compute, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, and Microsoft Entra ID
  • Practical experience using Microsoft Defender for Cloud to identify, assess, and remediate cloud security risks
  • Experience with Azure Portal, Azure CLI, and/or Microsoft PowerShell
  • Solid understanding of Azure Policy, cloud governance, identity and access management, and role-based access control
  • Strong knowledge of network security, encryption, vulnerability management, security hardening, and the principle of least privilege
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
  • Must be able to perform the role remotely from within Canada
  • Open to Canadian residents, including persons with a valid work permit in Canada
