About the role

  • Quality Lead overseeing construction quality plans, inspections, audits, and corrective actions for EllisDon projects. Daily on-site work in Bagotville supporting complex construction activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of Project Quality Management Plans (PQMPs)
  • Develop and coordinate Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Plan and oversee project quality activities, inspections, and testing programs
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and contract requirements to identify quality requirements and risks
  • Conduct audits and drive corrective actions to closure
  • Support project teams in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating quality-related risks
  • Act as the primary quality contact for clients, consultants, and project stakeholders
  • Facilitate quality meetings, workshops, and training sessions
  • Mentor and support Quality Coordinators and project team members
  • Promote continuous improvement and innovation within project quality programs
  • Escalate quality-related issues and collaborate with operations to develop solutions
  • Work on-site daily in Bagotville to support project activities

Requirements

  • Construction-related education or relevant industry experience
  • Several years of construction experience with increasing responsibility
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods across multiple project types
  • Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical requirements
  • Experience planning and executing inspections, testing, and quality verification activities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead meetings and influence project stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
  • Proficiency in English is required for certain duties, including communication with stakeholders outside Quebec and consulting English-only documentation
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Security Clearance is required
  • Bilingualism in English and French is considered a strong asset
  • Experience on complex institutional, industrial, defence, aviation, federal, commercial, residential, infrastructure, or other construction projects is considered an asset
  • Experience implementing project quality management systems, leading audits, and driving corrective action programs is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or formal quality management systems is considered an asset
  • Experience mentoring or leading junior team members is considered an asset
