About the role

  • Project Safety Advisor advancing safety programs, contractor compliance, and SIF prevention for Enbridge energy projects. Supporting audits, investigations, hazard control, and continuous improvement across Canadian and U.S. worksites.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Management Teams in implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the Project Safety Management Standard (PSMS)
  • Lead implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of project safety programs
  • Support compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate contractor safety programs with a focus on Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) prevention
  • Identify, assess, and control high-energy hazards throughout project planning and execution
  • Provide technical safety expertise, coaching, and guidance to operational leaders, managers, and safety representatives
  • Support incident, near-miss, and high-potential event investigations and recommend corrective actions
  • Conduct audits, assessments, and assurance activities
  • Support regulatory interactions and identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Drive safety excellence initiatives, facilitate stakeholder engagement, lead problem-solving efforts, and promote operational excellence across project teams

Requirements

  • Related degree, diploma, or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field, or CRSP/CRST designation
  • 4+ years of progressively responsible health and safety experience
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, facilitate change, solve complex problems, and deliver results across multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulatory frameworks
  • Knowledge of Human and Organizational Performance principles
  • Knowledge of safety management best practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficiency with contractor management platforms such as ISNetworld and related company systems and databases
  • Effective communication, organization, and independent decision-making
  • Valid driver's license and responsible driving record
  • Ability to travel, including internationally, with a valid passport
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without requiring employment-based sponsorship now or in the future
  • Ability to travel and work throughout Canada and the United States
  • Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
