About the role

  • Engineering Intern/Technologist collaborating with engineers on water resource projects in Peterborough. Supporting designs, reports, and assessments in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with experienced engineers on a wide range of water resource projects
  • Support creation of drawings and designs for water resource projects including low impact development features
  • Assist with preparing stormwater management and floodplain assessment reports
  • Hydraulic calculations and hydrologic modelling
  • Co-ordinate with co-workers and regulatory agencies on assigned projects
  • Designing erosion and sediment control features and plans
  • Culvert and storm sewer system design and assessments

Requirements

  • A water resources or civil engineering technical degree/diploma or equivalent is required
  • Experience in water resources engineering
  • Understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D software would be an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Experience with HEC-RAS, Visual OTTHYMO, and PCSWMM, or other similar software would be an asset
  • Highly motivated, hardworking, and an enthusiastic team player
  • Ability to interact with clients is an essential core quality
