About the role
- Engineering Intern/Technologist collaborating with engineers on water resource projects in Peterborough. Supporting designs, reports, and assessments in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with experienced engineers on a wide range of water resource projects
- Support creation of drawings and designs for water resource projects including low impact development features
- Assist with preparing stormwater management and floodplain assessment reports
- Hydraulic calculations and hydrologic modelling
- Co-ordinate with co-workers and regulatory agencies on assigned projects
- Designing erosion and sediment control features and plans
- Culvert and storm sewer system design and assessments
Requirements
- A water resources or civil engineering technical degree/diploma or equivalent is required
- Experience in water resources engineering
- Understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D software would be an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Experience with HEC-RAS, Visual OTTHYMO, and PCSWMM, or other similar software would be an asset
- Highly motivated, hardworking, and an enthusiastic team player
- Ability to interact with clients is an essential core quality
