Responsibilities
Define and execute the DevOps strategy aligned with the business unit’s objectives to support the entire lifecycle of test and measurement solutions for telecommunications networks.
Build and evolve a high-performing DevOps organization focused on automation, scalability, reliability and continuous improvement.
Promote DevOps culture and best practices across development, deployment, testing and operational support teams.
Maintain ongoing technology watch to identify opportunities for innovation.
Implement performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to measure delivery velocity, software quality, reliability, customer outcomes and operational performance.
Ensure adoption of modern hardware and software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD, automated testing, artificial intelligence and version control.
Ensure development practices promote quality, security, maintainability and scalability of solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.
More than 10 years of experience in product development, software engineering, DevOps, technical operations or comparable technology leadership roles.
More than 5 years of experience managing technical teams in a software or telecommunications environment.
Excellent understanding of the DevOps operating model, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, automation, observability and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
Solid practical experience with artificial intelligence (AI) tools and emerging technologies, and the ability to promote their adoption to improve DevOps efficiency, automation and business outcomes.
Proficiency in software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps, automated testing and version control.
Experience deploying and supporting complex software solutions in production at customer sites.
Demonstrated experience in organizational transformation, including transitioning from traditional support models to DevOps operating models.
