About the role
- Environmental Engineer conducting environmental assessments and characterizations in collaboration with a team. Involves managing municipal projects and providing technical support within the team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site environmental assessments and environmental characterizations (Phases I, II and III)
- Be partially assigned to municipal projects
- Manage environmental monitoring assignments during remediation/rehabilitation works
- Conduct environmental monitoring
- Prepare technical reports and associated documentation
- Participate in the preparation of service proposals and work programs
- Contribute to the preparation of technical plans and specifications
- Plan and coordinate field/site work
- Provide technical support to the team's professionals and technicians
- Perform any other duties related to the position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, civil engineering, geological engineering, or equivalent training
- Member of OGQ (Ordre des géologues du Québec) or OIQ (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec)
- Member of AQVE (an asset)
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Good knowledge of environmental standards and regulations (RPRT, RVMR, Intervention Guide – MELCC)
- Willingness to perform fieldwork as required
- Versatility and interest in a variety of projects
- ASP card (health and safety on construction sites)
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site travel
- Team spirit, rigor, and dynamism
