Environmental Engineer conducting environmental assessments and characterizations in collaboration with a team. Involves managing municipal projects and providing technical support within the team.
Responsibilities
Conduct site environmental assessments and environmental characterizations (Phases I, II and III)
Be partially assigned to municipal projects
Manage environmental monitoring assignments during remediation/rehabilitation works
Conduct environmental monitoring
Prepare technical reports and associated documentation
Participate in the preparation of service proposals and work programs
Contribute to the preparation of technical plans and specifications
Plan and coordinate field/site work
Provide technical support to the team's professionals and technicians
Perform any other duties related to the position.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in geology, civil engineering, geological engineering, or equivalent training
Member of OGQ (Ordre des géologues du Québec) or OIQ (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec)
Member of AQVE (an asset)
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
Good knowledge of environmental standards and regulations (RPRT, RVMR, Intervention Guide – MELCC)
Willingness to perform fieldwork as required
Versatility and interest in a variety of projects
ASP card (health and safety on construction sites)
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site travel
