About the role

  • Environmental Engineer conducting environmental assessments and characterizations in collaboration with a team. Involves managing municipal projects and providing technical support within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site environmental assessments and environmental characterizations (Phases I, II and III)
  • Be partially assigned to municipal projects
  • Manage environmental monitoring assignments during remediation/rehabilitation works
  • Conduct environmental monitoring
  • Prepare technical reports and associated documentation
  • Participate in the preparation of service proposals and work programs
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical plans and specifications
  • Plan and coordinate field/site work
  • Provide technical support to the team's professionals and technicians
  • Perform any other duties related to the position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, civil engineering, geological engineering, or equivalent training
  • Member of OGQ (Ordre des géologues du Québec) or OIQ (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec)
  • Member of AQVE (an asset)
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of environmental standards and regulations (RPRT, RVMR, Intervention Guide – MELCC)
  • Willingness to perform fieldwork as required
  • Versatility and interest in a variety of projects
  • ASP card (health and safety on construction sites)
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site travel
  • Team spirit, rigor, and dynamism
