About the role

  • Ingénieur sénior en contrôle des matériaux chez EXP, firme de services-conseils en ingénierie, architecture et conception. Gestion de projets, expertise technique et encadrement d’équipes à Lévis.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical expert and resource for materials testing and quality control for project teams and clients
  • Plan, lead, and manage quality control assignments involving concrete, aggregates, soils, asphalt mixtures, and other construction materials
  • Participate in business development and the preparation of service proposals
  • Oversee the technical, administrative, and financial management of a variety of projects
  • Advise clients and recommend solutions tailored to challenges encountered on construction sites
  • Participate in coordination meetings and represent EXP to owners, contractors, and partners
  • Review and approve technical reports, professional opinions, and recommendations
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the skills of technical and professional staff
  • Follow up on non-conformities and propose appropriate corrective measures
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of practices, processes, and quality standards
  • Help promote and grow EXP’s materials expertise

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, geological engineering, or a related field
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in materials testing and quality control
  • Experience managing projects and supervising technical teams
  • Knowledge of MTMD, BNQ, CSA, and industry standards and practices
  • Demonstrated communication, client relations, and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational skills, professional rigor, and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Excellent spoken and written French
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and availability for occasional travel to construction sites
  • Experience in business development and preparing service proposals
  • Expertise in geotechnical engineering or a related field
  • Established network among key stakeholders in the regional market
