About the role
- Senior Land Development Drafter producing Civil 3D plans for Calgary roadways, utilities, grading, and earthworks. Supporting EXP’s engineering consultancy through drafting reviews and junior staff guidance.
Responsibilities
- Review drawing packages at a senior level before submission
- Ensure compliance with City of Calgary standards and EXP drafting and CAD standards
- Provide guidance to junior drafters
- Check work completed by junior staff
- Assist with onboarding and training new team members
- Provide drafting support for roadway and utility design on Land Development projects
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce detailed drawings for residential roadways and intersections, water, sanitary and storm distribution systems, grading, and earthworks plans
- Report to the Land Development Drafting Lead
Requirements
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology
- 8+ years of land development drafting experience
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer-service mindset
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Ability to work independently or as part of a project team
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to meet deadlines
