Responsibilities

Design and produce structural drawings and specifications for buildings (steel, concrete, and timber), in compliance with the Building Code, applicable standards, and project guidelines.
Carry out technical surveys and monitor construction sites.
Contribute to the preparation, analysis, and review of technical studies and expert reports.
Participate in integrating technical data into digital models (BIM) and ensure interdisciplinary consistency.
Ensure deliverables, schedules, and the quality of produced drawings and technical documents are met.
Contribute to construction cost evaluations and the development of budgets.
Participate in project kickoff and coordination meetings.
Ensure engineering work is executed in accordance with EXP’s quality standards, applicable regulations, and contractual documents.
Keep up to date with products, standards, methods, and technologies.
Perform any other tasks related to the position.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (building engineering, civil engineering, or other equivalent qualification).
More than 7 years of relevant experience in building structures, ideally in consulting engineering.
Active member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Good knowledge of current building codes and applicable standards.
Familiarity with structural design and analysis software such as ETABS, ADA, SAFI, SAP2000, or equivalents.
Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
