About the role

Responsibilities
- Design and produce structural drawings and specifications for buildings (steel, concrete, and timber), in compliance with the Building Code, applicable standards, and project guidelines.
- Carry out technical surveys and monitor construction sites.
- Contribute to the preparation, analysis, and review of technical studies and expert reports.
- Participate in integrating technical data into digital models (BIM) and ensure interdisciplinary consistency.
- Ensure deliverables, schedules, and the quality of produced drawings and technical documents are met.
- Contribute to construction cost evaluations and the development of budgets.
- Participate in project kickoff and coordination meetings.
- Ensure engineering work is executed in accordance with EXP’s quality standards, applicable regulations, and contractual documents.
- Keep up to date with products, standards, methods, and technologies.
- Perform any other tasks related to the position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (building engineering, civil engineering, or other equivalent qualification).
- More than 7 years of relevant experience in building structures, ideally in consulting engineering.
- Active member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- Good knowledge of current building codes and applicable standards.
- Familiarity with structural design and analysis software such as ETABS, ADA, SAFI, SAP2000, or equivalents.
- Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
