About the role

Airframe Stress Engineering Specialist working on composite structures in a hybrid role with Expleo. Analyze structures for compliance and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Analyze composite and hybrid structures for static strength in accordance with validated methods
Ensure compliance with airworthiness regulations, applicable design principles, processes and methods, and manufacturing capability guidelines
Define, interpret, and validate tests
Manage interfaces and communications with relevant stakeholders
Provide relevant information to the Design Office for the development of manufacturing plans and support other functions (production, customer support, etc.) as required
Provide analytical calculations regarding repair and acceptance of damaged structures
Monitor, guide, and support subcontractors performing structural analysis work

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
You have at least five (5) years' experience with structural stress analysis techniques for composite and metallic structures
Experience with A220 structures is an asset
Knowledge of software such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, CATIA V5 and MS Office is required
Familiarity with Google Suite is an asset
Previous experience working on an aircraft development program or in-service support, including certification, would be an asset
Experience as a delegate within a Design Approval Organization (DAO) would be an asset
You have a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and are a team player
Good communication and computer skills are essential
