About the role

  • Vehicle trim engineer leading finishing-component development and validation for Expleo, a global engineering, production-support, MRO, quality, and consulting organization. Guiding design, supplier, manufacturing, and production teams in Sainte-Claire’s hybrid aerospace projects.

Responsibilities

  • Be the technical owner of assigned finishing components and subsystems
  • Understand and document tolerancing requirements to ensure repeatable installation in production
  • Prepare and communicate technical requirements to suppliers in specifications
  • Lead technical meetings with designers and manufacturing engineering
  • Define validation plans and perform inspections and tests
  • Approve changes and new system designs
  • Coach design teams integrating systems onto the vehicle
  • Serve as an internal technical reference on the state of the technology and conduct technology monitoring
  • Contribute to defining the technical scope of projects, including requirements, validation, and risks
  • Guide and support development and production teams
  • Plan the work of employees and external teams according to deadlines
  • Assess risks and identify alternative solutions
  • Technically analyze in-service failures and ensure implementation of corrective actions
  • Represent and provide technical assurance for systems to customers and suppliers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline
  • Registered member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Relevant experience in product development
  • Experience with composite materials, glazing (glass), plastics, and metals
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and FMEA analysis
  • Ability and interest in writing technical documents, including specifications, test plans, and technical reports
  • Excellent command of both French and English, written and spoken
