About the role

  • Responsable produit modernisant les plateformes d’assurance crédit d’EDC, société d’État qui aide les entreprises canadiennes à réussir à l’étranger. Pilotage de la vision, de la feuille de route et du carnet produit.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and team objectives
  • Align the vision and objectives with EDC’s credit insurance priorities and corporate strategy
  • Represent customer and business needs in product-related decisions
  • Translate priorities, user feedback, and operational needs into clear direction for product development
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog based on customer value, business outcomes, risk reduction, regulatory obligations, dependencies, and delivery capacity
  • Collaborate with customers, subject matter experts, and technology teams to validate problems and define solutions
  • Track product performance, benefits, and key outcomes using data and analytics
  • Recommend adjustments to priorities and the roadmap
  • Identify and manage dependencies, operational risks, technical debt, and vendor-related issues
  • Contribute to the modernization of EDC’s credit insurance platforms, the improvement of self-service capabilities and operational efficiency, and the protection of Canadian exporters against non-payment risk

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce, finance, insurance, information technology, or a related discipline
  • Five to seven years of experience as a Product Manager, team lead, business analyst, or in a similar role
  • Proven experience delivering complex, large-scale, multiyear technology transformations
  • Ability to translate business strategy and needs into measurable outcomes, a roadmap, and a prioritized product backlog
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-focused, analytical, and accountable; able to work effectively amid ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Knowledge of credit insurance, commercial insurance, underwriting, policy administration, and claims
  • Experience working with third-party software vendors
  • Experience modernizing financial services platforms, including APIs, automation, or digital self-service
  • Experience defining objectives and key results (OKRs) and business cases
  • Product management or Agile certification, such as CSPO/PSPO, or equivalent training
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or comparable tools
  • Fluency in both official languages
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada at the time of application, preferably as a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Must meet government security requirements
