Responsibilities
Conduct due diligence and the necessary analyses to assess the creditworthiness and risk level of a buyer or transaction
Evaluate new credit applications
Monitor and follow up on the buyer portfolio
Analyze and comment on developments affecting sectors, markets, and portfolios
Comply with recognized credit standards and recommend appropriate decisions
Prepare credit assessments and present recommendations to authorized credit approvers
Share sector and industry knowledge with sector teams, internal partners, and clients
Stay informed about general underwriting practices in credit insurance
Ensure compliance with data integrity rules
Liaise with buyers, banks, information providers, and other entities
Suggest improvement ideas and contribute to ad hoc process-related projects
Level 19: Make recommendations to mitigate risks
Level 19: Lead the collection, analysis, and communication of portfolio management data
Level 19: Present information to relevant stakeholders and committees
Level 19: Build and maintain a network of internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
Undergraduate degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field
Portfolio Risk Management 17: At least 5 years of experience in credit risk management and international trade, or related fields
Portfolio Risk Management 18: At least 7 years of experience in credit risk management and international trade, or related fields
Portfolio Risk Management 19: At least 9 years of experience in credit risk management and international trade, or related fields
Knowledge of credit risk management principles and practices
Candidates must meet government security requirements
Preference will be given to candidates who are legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application
Professional designation or designation in progress (CFA, CPA, MBA) — an asset that will help distinguish you
