About the role
- Valuations manager leading appraisal analytics and risk mitigation for FCC. Supporting lending decisions across Canadian agriculture and food.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, coaching and development for a high-performing valuations team
- Lead valuation activities and review complex analyses across a variety of asset types to support risk mitigation
- Develop and deliver market insights, analytics and reporting for operational, risk and senior management stakeholders
- Support the development and maintenance of valuation guides
- Act as a subject matter expert, build partnerships across the organization and deliver training to internal and external stakeholders
- Leverage expertise in real and personal property appraisal, valuation analytics and risk management to support sound lending decisions across FCC
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, finance, business or economics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum four years of formal or informal leadership experience
- Extensive knowledge of real estate finance and real and personal property appraisal, including agricultural and commercial properties
- Knowledge of Canadian agriculture and agribusiness industries
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams preferred
- Proven expertise in valuation, appraisal and risk assessment preferred
- Experience delivering training, presentations or consulting services to diverse stakeholder groups preferred
- Professional appraisal designation (AACI or É.A.) preferred
- English required
