About the role

  • Senior Analyst supporting FCC, a Canadian agriculture and food financing corporation, with project finance modelling, underwriting, due diligence and portfolio management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project finance cash flow models and scenario analyses
  • Conduct financial, commercial, technical and sponsor due diligence
  • Assess project risks and recommend mitigants
  • Prepare underwriting analyses, credit applications and approval materials
  • Support structuring, pricing and execution of project finance transactions
  • Coordinate external advisors and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance and early warning indicators
  • Research sectors, markets and industry trends relevant to project finance opportunities
  • Support the origination, underwriting, execution and management of complex project finance transactions focused primarily on Canadian agri-food processing, manufacturing and production assets
  • Assess project finance opportunities supporting FCC’s strategic priorities in Canadian agriculture and food
  • Provide analytical leadership throughout the transaction lifecycle, from initial evaluation to portfolio management

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or a related field
  • Minimum seven years of experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, structured finance, commercial banking, private credit, corporate finance or investment banking, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Extensive knowledge of project finance, credit analysis, due diligence and capital structure analysis
  • Proven expertise in financial modelling and underwriting analysis
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written communication and portfolio management
  • Strong capability to assess project risks and support transaction decision-making
  • Strong bilingual (English and French) communication skills
  • MBA, CFA designation or similar professional designation preferred
